In the center, a figure stands between the fabrics, partly visible while their limbs cast shadows. On the right, another person is shown in a dynamic pose. The fabrics resemble laundry lines with cloths and lace. The interplay of light and shadow creates a lively, almost dance-like scene with multiple layers.
One woman flies to the moon to search for what she has lost on Earth: her sanity, her work, herself. “What you have lost here on Earth / will be found up there on the moon,” wrote Ludovico Ariosto around 1500, imagining the Earth’s satellite as a kind of dumping ground. On a dark stage, several loudspeakers and audio devices are placed on the floor and on small tables. The scene is bathed in intense red light. From the ceiling, several narrow beams of bright light shine downward, illuminating different areas of the stage. In the center stands a microphone stand. Around it, various loudspeaker boxes of different sizes are arranged, some placed on transport cases. On the left, additional audio equipment sits on a table behind a transparent protective cover, from which light fog or smoke rises. On the right side, there is another table with loudspeakers.
At the center is an acousmonium – an orchestral landscape of loudspeakers arranged throughout the space. Acousmatic sounds move multidimensionally through the room, without their source being identifiable.
