(T)RaumTheater
Events
For three days, an open walk-in format invites cultural workers—especially theatre makers—from Frankfurt and the surrounding area, as well as anyone who feels moved by theatre. Opening hours on 27 and 28 March: 16:00–20:00.
(T)RaumTheater is an installation, workshop space, and meeting point at the same time. For four hours each day, the space invites visitors to think about their own “dream theatre.” Which moments have shaped us? What felt strong, brave, or touching? What do we want to keep—and what do we want to change?
Between video impulses, theatre literature, and open workspaces, there are opportunities to write, design, remember, and exchange ideas.
(T)RaumTheater is not a finished concept, but a process that grows with everyone who enters the space.
(T)RaumTheater is part of the project “Just in Time” by the artist duo deufert&plischke, within the Master’s program in Dramaturgy at Goethe University Frankfurt, and part of World Design Capital 2026.
As part of the project, a two-hour workshop with deufert&plischke will also take place on 27 March at 17:00 (15–20 participants, open to all ages, no previous experience required). The starting point will be personal theatre memories, which will be shared and further explored through games, movement work, and conversation. The workshop will end with a collective letter to the theatre.
The collected voices and materials will be presented in the summer in a form that is still to be decided.
