The image shows an abstract composition in soft shades of pink, magenta, violet, and light blue. Flowing, organic shapes blend into one another, resembling ink suspended in water, watercolor washes, or marbled paint. The left side is dominated by bright pink and pastel tones, while the right side transitions into cool blue hues. Curved lines and translucent layers create a sense of movement and depth. Small light-colored dots and bubble-like textures are scattered throughout the image, giving it a shimmering, fluid appearance. The artwork is entirely abstract and does not depict any identifiable people, animals, objects, or landscapes.

As part of the third Young Ensemble Academy of Ensemble Modern and the International Ensemble Modern Academy, young international ensembles work with Ensemble Modern musicians in coaching sessions and workshops to explore music of the 20th and 21st centuries. The culmination and final event of the academy is the 100th Naxos Hall Concert, SHIFTING TIDES. The concert includes the world premiere of a commissioned work by composer Yuheng Chen, performed by all participating musicians together with Ensemble Modern.
