“Who, if I cried out, would hear me among the angels’ hierarchies?”
On August 30, the evening before his 85th birthday, Willy Praml will present a reading of Rainer Maria Rilke’s Duino Elegies, inviting us into the inexpressible dimensions of human experience: life and death, love and loss.
By midday the following day, the focus shifts to the simple pleasures of life: Bavarian white sausages, wheat beer, and good company.
Leonhard Dering will frame the reading with Claude Debussy’s Préludes II. Both works are pioneering achievements of early modernism from the years before the First World War and are roughly the same age as our venue, the Naxoshalle.
