Who are you when everyone else defines your story?
For centuries, the history of the Jewish Rothschild family has been overshadowed by conspiracy myths and antisemitic propaganda. Drawing on research and autobiographical material, this choreographed theatre production brings a different perspective to the stage. Fictional yet closely rooted in historical facts, it tells a European family saga shaped by responsibility, conflict, and solidarity across generations.
At the center are four siblings, each longing to escape the narratives imposed upon them and their family. They seek refuge in nature, art, and jazz; engage in politics and resistance; and struggle to hold together a family fractured from within. Their intertwined stories connect past and present — from emancipation out of the Frankfurt ghetto and the rise to prosperity, to the fight for survival against persecution and destruction from the outside.
