Love strikes people unexpectedly, uniquely, overwhelmingly. It is romantic, passionate, fleeting. With LOVE, Billinger & Schulz approach love through the musical — the very form that has historically staged big feelings most audaciously. An ensemble of contemporary dancers directly embraces its exuberance, force, and pathos: tenderness, longing, the body surrendering itself to emotion. And those moments when love reaches its limits and other realities break in. LOVE celebrates feeling and fragility — and asks what remains of love when the world shakes it to its core.
