“From Ground Zero” is a compilation of 22 short films by directors from Gaza. Filmed between December 2023 and March 2024, the three- to six-minute films offer individual perspectives on the current reality of war in Gaza. With a mix of genres including fiction, documentary, docufiction, animation and experimental film, From Ground Zero presents a variety of stories that reflect the grief, will to survive, joy and hope that are part of everyday life in Gaza.

The project was initiated by Rashid Masharawi, an internationally renowned Palestinian filmmaker from Gaza.
