From fleeting sound particles that form for a few seconds and then dissolve again, this Naxos hall concert grows at the intersection of composition, sound research, and improvised chamber music. Between hybrid blends of timbre, subtle noise nuances, and touchingly melancholic moments, the trio Ephemeral Fragments creates a dense, precisely controlled overall sound, interspersed with distinctive solo passages. In dialogue with this, a live set for EMS synthesizer by the composer Florian Zwißler provides a contrasting element.
