As part of the third Young Ensemble Academy of Ensemble Modern and the International Ensemble Modern Academy, young international ensembles work with Ensemble Modern musicians in coaching sessions and workshops to explore music of the 20th and 21st centuries. The culmination and final event of the academy is the 100th Naxos Hall Concert, SHIFTING TIDES. The concert includes the world premiere of a commissioned work by composer Yuheng Chen, performed by all participating musicians together with Ensemble Modern.
