90-year-old grinding machine returns to Naxoshalle

The year began with a special arrival.
On Epiphany, a heavy-duty transporter rolled into Waldschmidtstraße – carrying a grinding machine from Naxos-Union that is over 90 years old. The company Mechanische Werkstatt SUSCHKE in Freital near Dresden had acquired the machine second-hand several years ago; now it has come to spend its retirement with us. Using a forklift, our Technical Director Nils Wildegans moved the machine to its new yet familiar place: the foyer of the Produktionshaus NAXOS.

A piece of industrial history has returned – and can now be admired by visitors.
