Marie Schwesinger and team
studied Scenic Arts at the University of Hildesheim and Directing at the HfMDK Frankfurt. After her studies, she worked as an assistant director at Schauspiel Frankfurt, where in 2018 she realized her play Against All Odds about the Frankfurt Auschwitz Trials (invited in 2021 to the Körber Studio Junge Regie at the Thalia Theater). She has directed productions at Schauspiel Frankfurt, Staatstheater Wiesbaden, Kunstfest Weimar, Theater Bielefeld, and Theater Kiel. Since 2019 she has mainly been active in Frankfurt’s independent scene, focusing on contemporary political and documentary subjects. In 2022 she received the Ottilie Roederstein Young Talent Grant from the State of Hesse and continues her artistic research into right-wing extremism.
studied Stage Design at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. She then worked freelance in stage and costume design, including at Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus, Staatstheater Mainz, Residenztheater Munich, Nationaltheater Mannheim, Staatstheater Stuttgart, Schauspiel Frankfurt, Latvian National Theatre Riga, Volkstheater and Burgtheater Vienna, Kampnagel Hamburg, Ballhaus Ost, and Deutsche Oper Berlin. Alongside her work at municipal and state theaters, she has long been active in the independent scene. With the directing collective Prinzip Gonzo, she developed The Game of Life in 2014—a sandbox game theater, a theatrical open-world simulation (1st place at the virtual nachtkritik-Theatertreffen, nomination for Director, Stage, and Costume Design of the Year by Theater Heute). Her personal focus lies on strong, content-driven concepts that can be seen as invitations to play, supporting participants to become alive in a theatrical situation. Since 2021 she has been on the board of the Association of Scenographers.
Jenny Flügge (Dramaturgy)
studied Theater, Film and Media Studies and American Studies in Frankfurt am Main and co-founded the Japanese film festival Nippon Connection. After assistantships at the Oper Frankfurt and at spielzeiteuropa (Berliner Festspiele), she worked as an assistant director at Staatsschauspiel Dresden. From 2009 to 2011 she was the organizer of the Heidelberger Stückemarkt and artistic production manager of an international theater partnership at Theater Heidelberg. At Staatstheater Karlsruhe in 2011/12 she oversaw a guest performance series, the Handel Festival, a city project, and a playwrights’ festival. In 2012/13 she worked as a freelance production manager for, among others, TEXTxtnd, the Junge Oper Stuttgart, and Stadttheater Bremerhaven. In 2014 she became organizational director at Kunstfest Weimar, working with Rimini Protokoll, matthaei & konsorten, Mats Staub, and Robert Schuster. From 2016 to 2019 she was a dramaturg at Mecklenburgisches Staatstheater Schwerin. Afterwards she worked with ASSITEJ in the project Wege ins Theater, part of the federal program “Culture Makes You Strong – Alliances for Education.” Since 2021 she has been co-project director at Frankfurt LAB, a production and performance venue for contemporary performing arts and music.
Sam Michelson (Performance)
studied at the Wiesbaden School of Acting. Guest engagements took him to Schauspiel Frankfurt, Landestheater Schwaben, and—working with director Ulrich Rasche—to Staatsschauspiel Dresden, the Salzburg Festival, and Burgtheater Vienna. Since 2013 he has regularly worked in the Frankfurt independent scene and has appeared in over 30 productions, including at the Naxoshalle and Volksbühne Frankfurt.
Nora Solcher (Performance) studied acting at the HfMDK Frankfurt until 2022. During her studies she performed both in the independent scene and at Schauspiel Frankfurt. After graduating, she appeared at Theater Bielefeld, Theater Kiel, Staatstheater Mainz, and Staatstheater Darmstadt. She has also worked across disciplines, including in Becoming Luise Büchner and in 2023 as part of Musiktheater Heute. In addition, she works in film and radio (HR & SWR) and as a writer, e.g. for the play development Strichcode.
Andreas Jahncke (Performance)
completed his acting training in Hamburg. At the same time he co-founded the performance collective “Schaufenstheater” and “Blauer Raum.” Since 2014 he has been active in Frankfurt’s independent scene, performing at studioNAXOS, Theater Willy Praml, and most recently at Landungsbrücken Frankfurt, Stalburg Theater, and Volksbühne Frankfurt.
Louisa Beck (Composition & Music)
is a freelance composer, music producer, and drummer with a degree from the Popakademie Mannheim. She composes and produces music for stages such as Schauspielhaus Bochum, Mousonturm Frankfurt, the Ruhrfestspiele, and independent theater groups. She specializes in immersive formats, audio walks, and podcasts. She is also part of the psychotronic duo geht so and works as a solo artist in Dark EDM / IDM.
Dörthe Krohn (Production Management)
works as a freelance production manager for the performing arts. She is the mother of two sons and lives and works in Frankfurt am Main. She studied Social Sciences and holds a degree in Political Science. From 2019 to 2021 she headed the Artistic Operations Office at studioNAXOS. After two years on the leadership team of ID_Tanzhaus Frankfurt Rhein-Main (2022 and 2023), she returned to Naxoshalle in 2024, now as Managing Director (Operations) of Produktionshaus NAXOS.
