soft archives
Events
How to archive a memory?
How to archive feelings?
soft archives explores textiles as collective archives and carriers of memory.
In open crafting sessions, participants and the artistic team investigate how longing, belonging, and lived experiences can be woven into a material—how they inscribe themselves and intertwine, and what emerges in the shared act of making while hands are busy.
The growing fabric culminates in a multisensory installation with integrated audio description, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in a soft archive and continue weaving it further.
The following dates are workshop sessions:
17.01., 16:00 – soft archives – co-crafting session #2
07.03., 16:00 – soft archives – co-crafting session #3
On the 20th, the installation can be visited at any time between 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM.
On March 21st, it can be visited between 4:00 PM and 9:00 PM.
In these sessions, you are invited to help shape the collective archive.
Session #3 is particularly aimed at blind and visually impaired participants, but is open to everyone interested.
No prior knowledge is required.
