Wildnis/Escapes

97th Naxos Hall Concert
Naxos Hallenkonzerte

Events

Monday
25. May 26, 20:00 Uhr

Rockfalls, avalanches, hurricanes, thunderstorms, glacial calving, and floods – nature defies control. Wildnis / Espaces transports the audience into a lucid dream where there is no firm ground. Within a strict formal framework, an intangible avalanche of sounds and images unfolds, reflecting natural phenomena from a human perspective. Since its founding, the ensemble histoirefuture has been dedicated to improvisation—drawing inspiration both from historical models and playing techniques, as well as from contemporary and performative forms. In his new full-length work, Matthias Klenota subtly balances contrasts between intensity, harshness, grace, and delicate humor.
